I’m a 14 month stage 4’er from Ohio. I was blessed to be referred to Dr. Ornstein of the Tausig Cancer Center of the Cleveland Clinic. My wife an I are as impressed today as we were when we met him and his staff during first appointment. Hope you have a similar experience and best wishes to you both on your journey. God bless
we are, but it’s really triggering for my husband bc it’s the same oncologist as his dad’s (who lost his fight v early). just wanting to meet with several in the area.
I see Dr. Moshe Ornstein also at Cleveland Clinic... he has a great office manner....I write down questions and he patiently answers them when we meet...friendly....I had a bone met and he arranged for my bone densitometry scan to see if I need Xgeva...we will review it next time... his brother had leukemia and that was how he got into Oncology... He is a SOC guy... participates in research...when I was diagnosed via Axumin scan, he got me on Lupron and Zytiga quickly--within 10 days... He let me pursue getting stereotactic radiation treatment at UPMC and seemed glad that the insurance paid for it... Good luck finding an MO...
Summer, Just saw this and wanted to see how things have worked out. Did you find a great doctor? I'm in Columbus area too and my wife wants me to go to CC but I've been going to James since Gleason 9 diagnosis last December.
hi tom! we consulted with the james too (dr. monk), but decided to go elsewhere b/c it was too painful for my husband. dr. monk had treated his dad a few years earlier, and the whole thing hit way too close to home. having said that, CC has been fantastic- we see dr. tendulkar there, but we've also consulted with dr. moshe ornstein (mentioned above). wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion on everything. and we're so lucky to be so close to them! the drive is relatively painless, just turn on a few podcasts & you'll be back/forth before you know it! where do you live in columbus? we're in upper arlington.
