My husband's PC came back for the second time since his RP in 2014 and he was started on ADT shots Sept. 4, 2018 and continued until he decided to get an Orchiectomy on Jan. 11, 2019. My question is, he has never had an eye stye until around Christmas 2018 and now he has another one (same eye)! I've read that sometimes hormonal changes can cause them and since he's gotten two now since starting ADT and surgery, it seems possible, since he's never had one before. Has anyone else had this problem? I know it's a strange thought, but just wondered if hormones could be the cause and this is the BEST place to get advice and find out if anyone else has had this happen to them. Thanks for you help with a crazy question!

YES, Developed styes in my eyes too. Dr. prescribed PNR De (Physician Recommended Nutriceuticals) Dry eye Omega Benefits. Also heat wash cloth very warm and heat soak eyes for 2 min. Then massage (stroke) upper eye lids with eyes closed and looking down. Then lower lids with eyes open and looking up. Twice a day followed by Refresh Optive Advanced lubricating eye drops. Cleared everything up, got oil ducts in eyes clear and flowing correctly and all styes gone. Odd side effect, but happened to me. He said cheaper fish oil at grocery store wouldn't work. Buy this stuff on line. Not cheap, but did the trick.
Ever since I've been on this site I haven't seen anyone post anything about a eye stye.
You're the first and Shooter1 is the second. Do a search on this site and see if anyone else has mentioned a stye in the past. I'm been on hormones for a long while and so far have not had a stye in my eye. However as I'm typing this my eyes are getting itchy. 👀
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
