Help on abbreviations?

I'm new here and to prostate cancer - diagnosed with Gleason 9 in November 2018. This site gives me some comfort, not the least that I am not alone with this beast. In trying to educate myself, I find that I am sometimes lost with the abbreviations used by some users. While I know that there are endless words or phrases that are relevant to our issues, is it possible for someone to provide a list of the more common abbreviations used here? I think it would help all us newbies to get knowlegeable on this damn condition. Thanks.

You are not alone...we fight this beast as a unit....posters provide info on treatments, clinical trials, exercise, supplements, diets, etc...successes and failures--- we celebrate triumphs and try to lift spirits when things don't work as hoped...we mourn losses.... You have found yourself on a hell ship, but you are never alone.... welcome to the forum...good luck...

Here in Bombay, India, I was prescribed Silodal 8. It is a pack of two tablets (google & find out more). It cost me here Rs.35/- approx for a pack. That is, approx 0.50 US$ per pack. This has to be taken every morning or evening after meals.

Before, Silodal 8, I used to go 5/6 times a night. Now, I go once or twice.

Huge benefits. Can sleep a lot more & better at night now.

Apparently, it has to be taken life long.

Hi, silodal 8.. never heard of it but I will research it. I'm in Australia and have been taking a natural herbal remedy called ProstaLobium for a couple of months now and I find it good. It comes in 2 forms : capsule and liquid. I take the tablets 1 before breakfast and one before the evening meal. It stops the need to go to the toilet and eliminates the pain I used to get in the uretha when I needed to go to the toilet. It cost around au $42.00 and there is 60 capsules in the bottle. I would recommend it. Made proudly in Australia by Herbal Supplies Pty Ltd. Web address is herbalsupplies.com.au.

Greetings, Tighten your seat belt and please turn off all of your electrical devices...you're in for one hellofa ride.

Here goes my standard questions: Would you be kind enough to provide us with your age, we know your gender already, your location, your treatment center and your doctor(s) names(s) and specialties? This info helps us help you. If you don't wish to answer we will hunt you down .... (oops that was meant for my ex-wife) no problem.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
