need some advice, had radiation 10 yrs ago, then on casadex & zoladex....psa stayed around .2, .3 till last Oct, zoomed to 25! Now on Xtandi, Zometa in addition to Zoladex
here's my question.... I'm 78, teach 2 days a week at local college...last week after teaching on Thursday played Golf and was exhausted after playing 18 for first time in 4 months. Is this what I can expect in immediate future....psa has gone down to 5!
thanks, Nick

Sorry to hear. Fatigue is a common problem with Xtandi. You should discuss it with your doctor, sometimes a lower dose helps. You could also consider Zytiga which has less likleyhood of causing fatigue and works about as well.
I decided on Zytiga for that reason and have no significant fatigue.
Totally normal with xtandi. Surprised you could do so much. Had to down size my dosage several times to have any kind of QOL. Now on 86 mg average dose. Two pills all week and 3 on Sunday. That's the max I can handle. After 5 mo. of 160 mg dose I was an complete invalid, then started to make cuts.
Was taking 2 5mg prednisone with Xtandi. Convinced MO to reduce to 1 5mg day. Definite increase in fatigue. Will try to stay the course for now.
APC is like the Mob. You think you’re out of it , but noooo it pulls us back in. Fatigue is the norm ...keep Golfing. Keep moving A new life and lowered expectations .. Good luck..
