I've mentioned this before in some content, but only 2 had a response - they didn't think much of it. It's on the SMK site, for both patient and professional use. I would not make my decision whatever that might be suggested to me solely on it - But I would certainly take into consideration modeling prediction tools. These tools take in thousands of cases as many have on this site. What is different about this one namograms, is that it takes into consideration your ' health history ' age, PCa #, etc...NOT just PCa data and perhaps guides you to the right decision you might need to take - did my RO care? - i believe NOT - why not, one could only speculate. Got a few mins - give it a test drive.
SMK and many other hospitals use AI ( Artificial Intelligence ) to guide them in all sorts of things. SMK Kettering does or did at one time have IBM's Watson on board to guide them - they still might....Will AI replace the Dr. - probably not, but could it have a positive impact to help them and folks in need of medical treatment - that's a certainty.
Show my PCP the other day, and he was amazed as was my urologist - the question is what is the plus-minus accuracy of this or any tool.

if u have mets, u r right -- but with n1 and treated and one, and there is no signs of current node involvement the tool would apply to u...again, the mets, u r probably right, not useful.
not sure what if any treatment u had - but the other tools there might be helpful as well --- for me, i did a RP but failed, showed residual PSA so off to SRT with ADT and still failed at 10 month with a .19 psa--- not sure based on my age what if anything i will do --- the RO has yet to call me... may leave it in gods hands and have a decent QOL - who knows... but that tool they have out their call ' pre RP ' was also interesting to me..I wish for you the best...
No doubt that AI will revolutionize medical practices in the future. However, we have to be cautious that we are just seeing the very early stage stages of this revolution. Especially for IBM Watson, there had been some recent articles on the accuracy of its recommendations and for IBM reducing investment.
It said 60 would still alive after 10 years and 27 dead from PCa.
43 alive after 15 and 34 died of PCa. All other deaths were from other causes.
But bc I've been treated and it's in my lymph nodes, it means nothing to me except likely the numbers are worse for my cohort.
This one didn't scare me, the one that did was the one that said I had a 99% chance of being dead in 5 years once I went castrate resistant. Never did a nomogram since.
I fudged too, 1 LN was positive at rp - but was that whole area was hit hard with RT ( imrt ) so i think the tool would be of some value to me perhaps u too ---my RO didn't even take the time to review it with me the nonogram with me... have .19 psa post SRT and now they want some new pet scan Axium that will pick up mets yrs before current tech - i think they just want to hold on to me as an income stream - i m about to drop the whole thing and see what happens - can t live test to test and treat a 3 basis point jump in psa ---- my pcp agrees. my pc was regional, popped out or the capsule a tiny bit - hit the svi as well
i ve had calls and notes into the hospital about the tools, they are avoiding to answer my questions ...i m 67 -- wonder why -- $$$$$
