Livetodayok diagonosed Stage 4 bone mets numerous places Nov 2018...PSA 2.4 St that time...main symptom freq urin urges and pinching in right groin

Current trmnt hormone therapy and start 3 round of taxotere Jan 16

It sounds like a good plan - is the taxotere helping with the symptom relief?

Yes I think it is helping out quite a bit. I had a lot of pinching in my right groin area between my hip and main body and it is totally gone after 2 rounds of chemo so I hope to see more improvements with round 3 on Jan 16th

Welcome. How old are you? Good that your doc helped diagnose despite the lower PSA. 2.4 at stage 4 is unusual. I was at 11 at diagnosis with widespread Mets. but had been 3.5 a few months before.

I agree and read where stage 4 with low PSA sometimes means you have one if the very rsur types if cancer that doesn't affect psa number like small cell cancer but the experts says mine is adenocarimoma

Well the cancer was flagged by hip doctor not my urologist...urologist kept telling me I only had enlarged prostate but I didn't buy it

Well I get my 3rd round of chemo on Jan 16th and think the 1st two have helped me out...so small hoping heading in right direction
