For me, it's easy to just have an exclusion criteria: No processed carbs, bread, white rice, white flour, pizza dough, pastries and limit sugar.
Just google processed or refined carbs...
I take two spoonfuls of 100% extra virgin, organic, cold pressed coconut oil everyday with green tea.
According to the article linked, coconut oil is bad for health as it raises ones bad cholesterol.
What is the truth ? Anyone ?

Hi Fish,
Thank you for the reply.
I have been using coconut oil (as stated above) for about 10 years and no harm has come to me thus far. On the contrary, my good cholesterol (HDL) has gone up (from 45 to 65) and my triglycerides have fallen drastically from 225 to 125.
Just about 3 months back, I got my wife to start using coconut oil and guess what ??
Yep, her triglyceride levels have crashed and her HDL levels have risen.
This has been our ACTUAL experience, no kidding.
Thanks again, Fish. Cheers !!

Been doing it for almost 5 years now, per Dr. Myers recommendation. Pretty easy to follow, lots of fish, skinless poultry and fruits and veggies. Once in a while I have grass fed beef or wild venison. Limited amounts of brown carbs, it’s a pretty easy diet to follow. We go through California Olive Ranch olive oil by the quart in our house most supermarkets carry this brand. Gotta be careful of imported oils, especially those from Italy, a lot of it isn’t olive oil at all or has had other oils added to it.
I’ve been able to drop about 30 lbs. and maintain normal BMI, despite being on triple ADT the whole time. Bloodwork-cholesterols, etc is great.

Ed,
I am on a very similar path as you outlined, Dr Myers, Fish, poultry, F & V. I also allow myself a treat of beef (All grass fed here in Ireland) but to be honest my tastes have changed so much that if I have the choice now....I choose fish I cannot get my taste to accept olive oil. Just a cultural thing or habit I am not sure. I am down 20 lbs in the last year. Most of this i give credit to the Mediterranean diet.
I had read so much about the weight gain on ADT (Even Dr Myers put on 20Lbs I believe), I thought it would be very difficult to control it. So far it is working.
