My 76 yr old husband has Adv PC and just finished his fourth Docetaxel Infusion and CIPN is really bad in hands and starting in feet. Our onchologist first prescribed Gabapentin but not much help within a dosage he could tolerate so switched to Duloxetine.,60mg 1 cap daily. He has been on it two days and has insomnia. I would like to have feedback from any of you who are taking this drug and if morning ir evening dose works best. Also, anyother complimentary meds/supplements which have helped would be greatly appreciated.
Is anyone treating Docetaxel peripher... - Advanced Prostate...
Is anyone treating Docetaxel peripheral neuropathy side effects with Duloxetine ?
Huge amount Vita C would be my try. You can find numerous UTube videos by highly informed drs online that offer many studies that supposedly verify Vita C. But must be right kind of C, which can be tricky
Thank you!

FYI
I've been taking Neurontin/Gabapentin 600mg for peripheral neuropathy twice a day for years and it has worked for me. I had peripheral neuropathy way before my Pca.
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

I have the same question. Problems with feet after chemo. Have some appointments in August at Stanford to test my nerve damage, and to see if anything can be done about it.
Chemo induced Peripheral Neuropathy can be difficult to manage but gabapentin often helps if titrated correctly so work closely with Dr.
