Very interested in this topic. Went to the link, and read the abstract. I didn't find specifics as to the useful dosage. I will discuss with my MO and Cardiologist.

I had been on a low 10mg dose of atorvastatin up until several months ago when I was experiencing leg muscle tightness, and my PCP told me to stop using it as it is a possible side effect of the medication. I could deal with this side effect if it will help my advanced PC.

I have taken 40mg of atorvastatin for many years, initially prescribed for cholesterol. Haven't experienced any side effects.
