You can try switching from prednisone to dexamethasone first.
No I am already off Zytiga since 10-15.
MO dragging feet on starting any new drugs is why I am asking.
Don’t like being off treatment this long.
Asking how long others have been off treatment before starting another.
Hi,
I'm assuming there is some positive outcome to switching to Dexamethasone. Is there any reference material that you know of that discusses the benefits? Thanks.
The timing and sequence of different therapies after one drug fails have not been defined by any control study as far as I know. Some doctors may wait to see progression of the disease before starting a new drug. If you are umconfortable with the approach of your MO you should seek a second opinion.
Thank you for your advise.
Dave was taken off Zytiga after 3 months earlier this year and was given Xtandi instead without a break , which seems to be working well for him .
He was first diagnosed T4 N1 M1 in May 2017 , and has had Docetaxel and Radiotherapy.
I’m just coming off Zytiga in December, not sure what’s next. I hope it doesn’t take that long to find another treatment
I was off prednisone an zytiga one week, started jevtana
