Can a fall cause a high PSA reading?

Can a fall cause a high PSA reading? My dad took a tumble today and ended up in the emergency room. Fortunately has no Broken bones but he is very, very sore on his hip. He goes in for his three-month PSA test And Lupron shot on Wednesday. I read where infection, injury and illness can cause an elevated PSA reading and I’m wondering if his fall could affect his PSA test results?

If he still has his prostate and he jarred his prostate in the fall, it might elevate PSA slightly for a day. I wouldn't worry about it. I hope he recovers fully.

He does have his prostate. But that makes me feel better. Thank you for the reply! Hoping and praying that Wednesday brings good test results!
