Impotence is a common effect of many prostate cancer treatments. Sometimes impotence is caused by physical issues, such as nerve damage during RP or the effects of castration. But prostate cancer also causes severe psychological stress, which can also cause impotence.
A cautious doctor might order an expensive and invasive test that uses an instrument to record penis girth throughout the night. Physically healthy men get nocturnal erections. The blood flow provides oxygen and nutrition to the organ.
Now researchers have demonstrated a much simpler way to find out if the problem is physical or psychological. They wrap the penis in a circle of postage stamps before bedtime. Upon wakening, if the circle is broken, there was at least one nocturnal erection.
Laugh: John Barry, Bruce Blank, and Michel Boileau, for using postage stamps to test whether the male sexual organ is functioning properly—as described in their study, "Nocturnal Penile Tumescence Monitoring with Stamps."
They forgot to mention the most important instruction, which is "to get your partner to lick the stamps after they're applied".
I tried the Stamp Test for impotence. Three days later I received a letter. It seems that somehow I had mailed my dick to South America, and more postage was due. Be careful if you try it! Now I am trying to get it back through Customs. I am sure they will have a lot of questions.
