My father is diagnosed with Prostate cancer three years back and was on Androgen blockers for the postpone year. currently elevated PSA and focal vertebral lesions. He lives in Africa and am trying to get him treatment either in South Africa or India. Any experience on those places? he might need Radio/Chemo therapy.

What medications has he been prescribed up to now with PSA elevating? There may be other medications that can be prescribed once we know his current protocol.

Other than Medical Oncologist Steven Tucker in Singapore, I have no actual personal idea of the expertise of the others listed below outside of South Africa and am only provided what I am aware of location and contact. I also have no idea of the expense involved for the services of any of them. I can find “Oncologists” in South Africa if I know where your father lives, but again, I have no idea of their actual expertise when it comes to prostate cancer. One reason I left a wonderful life in Africa ... hadn’t been cancer, but other health issues: primitive, in adequate medical staff, what treatments? and access to any satisfactory treatment ... if treatment is available.

Even here in the United States, with Prostate Cancer ... so many patients by pass even available local cancer treatment practices (oncologists, urologists, radiation, and chemotherapy), and opt for the somewhat limited more distant locations for the best or better treatment centers centers. Even here treating cancer is a challenge: insurance (USA), cost, appointments, waiting, and services.

Aftics is not the place to be with a cancer diagnosis, and seeking or needing the best treatment and diagnostics. I would not even want to break a bone, have a heart attack, stroke, burn, dental issues, etc. in any part of Africa ... get back home to a country (your country) with the best treatment for cancer.
