My MO has suggested this, which is available at Penn. I'd appreciate any information and experience that's available. Many thanks.

It's usually called Axumin. Here's some info on it:

Thank you for the very helpful reference, Allen. I recall an earlier post in which I believe you suggested that the Axumin scan was not likely to detect mets at low PSA. Mine was 0.38 in June, but I hope the scan shows something. I'm hoping to qualify for a Ga68 PSMA trial which requires a prior positive scan.

if it's the one at UCLA, someone said they filled their quota. You can still pay $2650 for it there, and no prior scan is required.

Don't you need a PSA of at least 2.0 for UCLA to do the Ga68 PSMA?

You need a confirmed recurrence - 0.2 after prostatectomy ± SRT, nadir+2.0 after primary radiation. UCLA also allows those diagnosed with localized high risk to get it.

1. Thanks so much for that link. Do you intend to keep it updated?

2. Why do you give auximin such a low rank? It seems, with the limited data, about as good as the psma test. It would seem variations in equipment, practicioner, techinique and sampling could easily account for variations in results between Auximin and psma scans. Don't you think?

I am looking at psma vs Auximin, and with Medicare Auximin seems less of a hassle.

PS: thanks for being such a valuable resource here.

Studies I read mentioned that You would want a PSA at least of 1.0 to have better accuracy. I am waiting to get mine at that point.

My reading of Allen's chart make me want to wait until PSA 2.0
