it is probably a rat. One of Big Pharma's old tricks is to take a drug that is about to go off patent, change a few molecules and get the crooks at the FDA to approve an NDA. Then they have an army of drug salesmen, pushing cart fulls of free meals, visit doctors offices to convince the docs of the supposed superiority of this "new drug"..This Yonsa/Zytiga BS looks like a play on this old scheme. With Zytiga about to go off patent these guys want to preserve the $10,000 a bottle income stream. Will insurance companies go along or insist on only approving generic Zytiga.

If It Looks Like A Rat and Walks Like a Rat
as I have always said "you can never be too rich or too thin"...and have ALWAYS said the MOST important thing in the world is $$$$.....I'm not totally surprised by my Journey in the Cancer treatment cavalcade ....yet, still....I'm finding it depressing and de-humanizing to feel like "just a number" and just a "meal ticket" to most caregivers, most researchers, most drug companies, etc. When it's "life or death"...scenarios it seems more heinous for $$$ to be the only incentive....when it' "erection vs. flaccid"...it seems more palatable. Like with HIV...a "cure" would really hurt a lot of pockets...so I'm not expecting one on either front. Live long and prosper!
You are speaking truth to power, my friend.
Very true....never trust pharma....
Big pharma= a fish rotting from the head down.
It is a company in India. There's a chance that they aren't as greedy as the Pharma companies here. I'm sure there is plenty of prostate cancer to deal with in the Indian population so maybe there's a chance that this new drug actually competes with Zytiga on a cost as well as efficacy basis? OK, maybe I am naive, but I do get some of my meds from India -- omeprazole being one. I'm paying a lot less than I would for something offered at Costco. If they can outsource our jobs to India I can insource my meds from India. Here's hoping anyway.
