Cancer Rates have increased continuously over the last 50 years this has increased lock step with the introduction Soda's and processed food into our diet not to mention pesticides and Herbicides! Cancer Deaths have decreased?? It depends on your Math! And how skewed your study's are!

Cancer Rates!
Dear Chicken Little,
There is only one version of the facts. Here's what NIH reported last month; first one has to understand that incidence due to early detection of cancers is often a good thing. Here is what NIH reported last month:
Incidence:
"Between 2010 and 2014, nine of the 17 more common cancers in men showed decreases in incidence, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma and bladder, brain, colorectal, esophageal, laryngeal, lung and bronchus, prostate, and stomach cancers. Prostate cancer had the greatest decrease in incidence. Leukemia, melanoma, myeloma, and cancers of the kidney, liver, oral cavity, pancreas, and thyroid in men showed increases in incidence between 2010 and 2014, with liver cancer having the greatest increase. On average, the overall cancer incidence rate in men decreased 2.2 percent per year.
"Seven of the 18 more common cancers in women showed decreases in incidence, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma and cancers of the bladder, brain, cervix, colorectum, lung and bronchus, and ovary. Colorectal cancer had the greatest decrease in incidence. Leukemia, melanoma, myeloma, and cancers of the breast, corpus and uterus, kidney, liver, oral cavity, pancreas, stomach, and thyroid in women showed increases in incidence between 2010 and 2014, with liver cancer having the greatest increase. The overall cancer incidence rate in women on average did not change year by year between 2010 and 2014.
Mortality:
"From 1999 to 2015, cancer death rates declined for men, women, and children.
Overall cancer death rates decreased during 1999-2015 by:
• An average of 1.8 percent per year for men.
• An average of 1.4 percent per year for women.
"Eleven of the 18 most common cancers in men showed decreases in mortality: leukemia, melanoma, myeloma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and cancers of the colon/rectum, esophagus, kidney, larynx, lung and bronchus, prostate, and stomach. Lung and bronchus cancer had the greatest decrease in mortality. Non-melanoma skin cancer and cancers of the brain and other nervous system, liver, oral cavity and pharynx, pancreas, and soft tissue including heart showed increases in mortality for men between 2011 and 2015, with non-melanoma skin cancer having the greatest increase.
"Fourteen of the 20 most common cancers in women showed decreases in mortality, including leukemia, melanoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and cancers of the bladder, breast, cervix, colon/rectum, esophagus, gallbladder, kidney, lung and bronchus, oral cavity and pharynx, ovary, and stomach. Non-Hodgkin lymphoma had the greatest decrease in mortality. Cancers of the brain and other nervous system, uterus, liver, and pancreas showed increases in mortality for women between 2011 and 2015, with liver cancer having the greatest increase.

I hope that clears it up for you.
Only one post and this is it? Why have you waited so long to come up with this gem.
There were much fewer aeroplanes, washing machines and televisions 50 years ago, and coal was the main source of heat.
It’s electrical appliances that’s doing it, and the lack of coal dust in the air.
Or how about avocados and passion fruit, or maybe broccoli?
Chinese food - that’s a lot more popular, maybe it’s that..😂
You are right there are much more appliances now and radiation that comes from mobiles etc.....! Why eating avocados and other nationally rich food be cause for amusement on your part! There is an epidemic of Cancer, Diabetes, and Hypertension in this Society! With all the long winded announcement that new research is being done and more studies are needed I see very little in results! Many if the men and women I go to Gym and socialize with are Cancer survivors at this point! Diet and exercise is a major part if achieving good Health! All that is discussed in the site is a lot of dialogue of Cancer Drugs many of them decades old! Nothing but the Promotion of Drugs!
Interesting article (yesterday) on the Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer...
webmd.com/prostate-cancer/n...
According to this article, Dr. Serban Negoita, chief of the U.S. National Cancer Institute's Data Quality, stated :
"We are definitely losing ground. We don't want to have more people diagnosed at a distant stage, and we don't want to have more people dying from prostate cancer."
Take Care,
Monty
Yes they seems to be discarding Psa testing! It was still quute accurate in catching earlier less aggressive Cancers! Or maybe there are other reasons!
