I find out tomorrow whether I'll be entering a phase 2 clinical trial of a PARP inhibitor, niraparib (Zejula). I have a CDK12 DNA repair mutation that makes me a candidate for this intervention. (NCT02854436)
Looking for anyone who has experience with this or other PARP inhibitors re effectiveness and side effects.
TIA

After nine months, PSA started to rise again and Lynparza was no longer useful in my battle. Snuffy retired and I was on to other Med Oncs and treatments.
I had hoped for something more dramatic from Lynparza, but my cancer has been very aggressive since diagnosis in 8/12 and I am blessed to still be alive.
I am considering adding a PARP inhibitor as an additional treatment option, as I am BRCA2 positive. Can you update me from your post from 9 months ago? Did you get in to the Niraparib trial? Were there any other PARPs available to you? How are you doing now?
