Thank you so much. Helps a lot. Best of health to you.
How have the side effects been for you personally? Did you have to do any dose adjustment?
I have been experiencing several side effects, but they're tolerable. Fatigue, anemia, occasional nausea, cough, susceptible to blood clots (had a partial in left thigh; resolved with Eliquis). My dosage is 400 mg twice a day.
I am thankful that it controlled my PSA at undetectable level for over a year, longer than the 8 month average. PSA is back up to 0.14 in last 3 months. May be time for new treatment. Also considering PSMA scan; FDA expected to approve soon in the US, so I may not need to go overseas where it is currently available.
Will be discussing treatment options with Oncologist in next few weeks. Also getting 2nd opinion from UCSF Center for BRCA Research, Dr Pamela Munster (top notch).
Just had updated full body bone scan and CT of abdomen/pelvis/chest to help in the decision process.
Giving it everything I got! Hoping for the best.
Thanks for posting this!
Thank you for the excellent article that looks at the QOL issues when PARP inhibitors are included in therapy. We tend to skip over some important adverse effects due to treatment in our forum.
