Approach Humana In Reverse Gear

When my Doc wrote a prescription for Xtandi they turned it down...claimed were just following Medicare procedures...but they sure are big at selling their BS plans. I keep getting offers to get dental ins, so I finally signed up with Humana DHMO....when my card never arrived I called H and the woman said there was no evidence I ever applied.

Also, the Dentist assigned as primary care is an orthodontist and only does braces. She said forget the DHMO and sold me a PPO attached to my Advantage Plan..said covers everything even Implants. Three days later I received the card for the DHMO I don't have. Now I have 2 dental plans. Not one dental practice I contacted will accept the DHMO because Humana does not pay their bills. Humana is deducting premiums for both plans from my checking account.

I found a Dentist who will take the PPO. When I presented the card it was declined. The woman at Humana said no record of PPO...I only have a DHMO. The Dentist can not accept the DHMO because he is not in the network. Holy Shit!

Go with regular Medicare. You do not need the stress.

Stage 4 here, Chemo done ,I am on Medicare with Humana drug plan, I didn’t have any trouble with them except the $10,000 deductible
