Severe chills

I have been on Xtandi since last August, Fetanyl since last July. About two weeks ago I started having severe chills several times a day and night. Anybody out there experience this or have any suggestions ? Really wearing me out and affecting quality of life. Details of my treatments are in my profile.

Yes. Xtandi gave me chills, and then the sweats...like a freaking temperature roller coaster each and every day. It also gave me extreme fatigue and zapped my appetite.

I got chills and severe fatigue when on the full dose of Xtandi. Dropped dose to 120 mlgs... No change . Dropped again to 80 mlgs and Bingo the worst dissapeared. Question is is weather it will still hold back the beast. I will find out in a couple weeks.

Fetanyl is a dangerous drug to be on even short term.

You should seek a second opinion on that prescription decision from a Doc who specializes in medication dependancy.

Fetanyl dependancy is dangerous. I suspect if you look at the raw numbers it is deadlier in the US than prostate cancer.

I also suspect that being on it for 9 months... well how do you not become addicted to it over such a period of time... And what happens when you lose your prescription to it???

I started Fetanyl several months ago. The side effects are pretty bad so I began to reduce the dosage with the approval of my medical team. Going from 50mcg to 12 in three steps about 15 days apart made a big difference in the anxiety and restlessness but I still do not sleep very well. Right now I am on a 12 mcg patch and I treat residual pain with Alieve.
