9.8 to 2 not to bad!

Here i am at the next chapter. Jan 2018 psa went from 3.7 to 9.8. Had bone scan cat scan, both negitive. My urologist sent me to Lombardi cancer center. When i mentioned minor back pain with numbness in my right arm she ordered a Aximum scan. Scan showed uptake in my postrate and left clavical. Urologist didnt believe the Axinum scan cititing to sensitive. Ordered MRI, that showed mets also. Onc started me on Xtandi. Started febuary 7th. February 28 psa down to 2. I have major side effects fatigue, brain fog, muscle and bone pain with weakness in my right leg. Currently off Xtandi for one week and will restart with 3 pills instead of 4 to see if i tolerate that better.

Excellent results except for the side effects.

It’s been suggested here to take the pills before bedtime to reduce side effects.

My husband is going to try that as he is now having increased sleep disturbance which could contribute to what I see as brain fog.

I do, or did take them at night. Still had problems till late afternoon. Hoping the lower dose next week will do better. Thanks for the reply!

Damn !!!!! As one trailing behind you it’s scarey but being brutally honest about our journey it’s normal Method of operation for APC. Makes me want to not waste my precious time left on earth being angry and demoralized. I have neauropothy and pains mostly in joints regularly. In the back of my mind it’s always the question ( is it mets? ) you can’t lay down your arms now sir. Hope others areas of your life are good.. someday they might come up with a majic pill. In the meantime we suffer archaic treatments that strip us to the core.. The docs tell me beside the APC you’re in great shape..
