Coughing Blood - Zytiga / Prednisone

Hi guys,

So my Father has had some Hemoptysis coinciding with when he started Zytiga / Prednisone about 3 weeks ago.

I read this can be a side effect for men taking these drugs, but not a common one.

Can anybody else speak to it at all?

I would just say, talk to your oncologist - now.

My Father had a chest infection 6 months ago which resulted in coughing some blood with phlegm. His sputum tested positive for bacteria.

He also had two chest ct scans and a camera investigation as there was some lung consolidation. No malignancy found .

We spoke to our oncologists who doesn't believe it is any medication so likely he has coughed and damaged a vessel again. It's actually got a bit better since yesterday.

Hopefully nothing untoward.
