We are thinking of moving to Charlotte North Carolina. Does anyone have experience with treatment at Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte?

The Institute is the cancer specific center but the greater medical facility, Carolinas Medical Center is the second largest public hospital system in the country. There are several options for prostate care in Charlotte. Chris Teigland is the head of Urology for the hospital and his recommendation for prostate medical oncology to me and another patient was Reza Nazemzadeh:

There are other specialists for stages of prostate cancer care including:

Care will likely be according to national standards.

I have no experience with medical care in North Carolina however, if the Levine Cancer Institute doesn't meet your needs, or if you need second opinions, there is an NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center not too far away at the University of NC in Chapel Hill.

Thanks for the recommendation of Dr Burgess and Levine Cancer Intitute. I started treatment there February 28. So far I am impressed with their whole operation. I have seen Dr Spencer in the Palliative Care Section and am impressed with her as well. Unfortunately, on March 26 I fell and suffered a rib fracture and possibly another fractured vertebra (still under evaluation). Was taken to Carolina Medical Center ER Pineville and very pleased with my treatment there as well. Thanks again.
