Docetaxel Rechallenge?

Thanks for the article. It looks familiar, I may have read it once before. I will probably be one of those who rechallenge Docetaxel. I've talked to my doctor already about it even though I am still having a good response from primary ADT.

Thanks for the paper, Petrylak et al did studies on docetaxol rechallenge and found it to be a viable option. Interesting to note in this case, they rechallenged with low dose weekly after high dose 21 day. I think all you guys that responded well to early docetaxol will get a good response when rechallenging.

Also notice this guy did 12 rounds of docetaxol, then 12 of cabitaxol, then got a good response to low dose docetaxol. I just got back from 4th IMRT,(went Sunday to take 4 days off next weekend) They are blasting my hip mets, my prostate and the larger bulky lymph masses in my Pelvic region. Its out of the box, but I am going with it , and will report.

I had 6 treatments with docetaxol and showed clinical and radiographic progression. Does that mean I’m a poor candidate for rechallenge?

I think that your question would be best answered by an experienced oncologist.
