So I posted earlier under breazing through treatments. Had bone scan and CT scan yesterday. Met with my local Onc this afternoon. Masses are growing. Said he is very concearned. And at my asking told me if we cannot find an option I have a year or maybe a little longer. Want me to start a different chemo the the initial taxatere I had that only worked for a couple months after treatment ended. So I do not feel I have a choice but doing chemo again is not appealing. Just venting I guess, I have for sure had better wks. On a positive not my amazing girlfriend who has been a rock said yes to my proposal this wk, so she is now my fiancé

Breazing through treatments #2

Very sorry to hear you haven't had good responses to treatments so far. It does sound like your oncologist is trying to get on top of this and not going to waste whatever time you have left. That's what you need at this point in my opinion. Don't want to be wasting time with things that are not going to work.
My guess is that you will probably go on Carboplatin or Cabazitaxel or the two together. You may have a good response to those chemotherapy agents.
Have you had any biopsy and/or genetic testing results?
Let us know what treatments you do. Hoping for the very best response for you.

No go in for biopsy on the 10th for genetic testing. Feelthis step should have happened a long time ago.
First of all, congratulations on your engagement! It is wonderful that your girl-friend said "yes" to your proposal and I wish you many years of happiness together.
Worrying about your latest results. But hopefully you can do another Chemotherapy treatment that will be more effective and give you a lot more time.
Mel.
I am terribly sorry to hear that you are running out of options.
I replied an hour or two ago to an earlier post recommending that you check out Metformin. Apparently, for some men, it allows Zytiga and Xtandi to start working again after they have stopped. Search Google or Pubmed for ( metformin abiraterone enzalutamide ) to see more.
Another possibility is Keytruda. It's a long shot but there was a report of a trial on 10 men last year and three of them had excellent responses. See:

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. My best wishes to both of you.
