alkaline phosphatase vs acid phosphatase

can someone say what the relevant difference is, or which one is important

Martin The Alkaline phosphatase is a liver marker, that is also high when activityin the bones is happening, DR Myers prefered the bone specific Alk phos, I am not familar with acid phosphatase.

Prostatic Acid Phosphotase = PAP, and aka PSAP.

PAP was a blood test used before PSA was discovered, it says.

PAP is related to Provenge I see. My first response was deleted by my computer, so this one is shorter.

Here is an article that mentions PAP in the context of Provenge.

Apparently PAP is found on the membrane of prostate cancer cells (as well as in the blood, for the earlier blood test?) (unclear)
