Nuray,

My understanding is that an MRI can show the extent of cancer progression. In my case it showed, at a detailed level, cancer at the T8 vertebra and that there was no spinal compression. In subsequent visits they then compare previous scans to see if there is any progression or if it is 'stable', with no sign of progression.

The level of detail they can see is quite remarkable.

Hope this helps - good luck with your results!

Good morning.

Is the MRI just the regular MRI or a specific one?

Thank you.

Nowadays There are more effective scans than MRI . CT pet scans with choline or axumin . I would ask your MO about them.
