SHBG Shots?

If it is the free testosterone that enters the prostate cell, and most of the testosterone cannot enter because it is bound to SHBG, then why dont they give supplemental SHBG to tie-up the free testoserone?

Martin,

Certain foods increase your level of SHBG; one of them is carrots. I enjoy eating carrots. As you know everyone is different, my SHBG is high. Is it from carrots--who knows! Everything in moderation, you don't want your skin turning orange color.

PS: The beans they use in humus, I believe, are also helpful. I am a terrible speller I think there called conzobo beans.

Dr Myers has said in a vblog post that T isn't the problem. Ultimately, DHT drives aggressive disease, & in some, it can be made from a precursor other than T. Fortunately, Avodart can deal with back-door DHT too.

Why is it that some (most?) doctors are not focused on DHT?

Dr. Myers asked the same question on a vblog post.

And ... why is so much testosterone bound? What is the use of testosterone that is bound to SHBG? There must be one, or why would there be so much of it.....

Not sure about that, since more aggressive Pca related to higher SHBG
