Has anyone received disability insurance payments indefinitely due to an ADHD diagnosis?

just curious if anyone has firsthand experience with the ins and outs of that process

In US you basically have to show that u have not worked for 2 yrs consecutively due to whatever diagnosis u want to apply for disability for. But something to remember- disability payments are SUPER low in US. you will fight with the disability board n do at least 2-3 appeals and in the end, at best- u will get awarded disability which means a below poverty line check each month for life.

usually not. My partner and brother both are on SS. My partner is also blind, and my brother is also bipolar schozoaffective. He had to prove that he has had a lot of doctors appointments, can’t hold a job and has trouble doing life skills for yourself. My brother had to be on medications and for a long time he would have several days of sleep and several of awake. He couldn’t keep a schedule or remember to go to appointments. It’s gotten better since he started monthly shots for his bipolar. However, we had to wake him just to eat, and he would choose only canned soup until he started getting better.
