I do believe you should stop caffeinated drinks when taking amphetamines. They constrict your blood vessels--double whammy. Try stopping caffeinated drinks and see what happens, if that doesn't help talk to your doctor and maybe try another medication. heat will help with the pain.
The caffeine with the stimulant can easily be the cause for the joint pain. I kind of remember this happening at one point and when I gave up caffeine it went away. The problem, however, was that I didn't want to give up caffeine. I like my coffee and diet cola. That's when my psychiatrist stepped in and said that you are usually lacking some other nutrient that's causing the pain. In my case it was magnesium. Once we got that under control with supplements, I was fine. You should be able to have your doctor prescribe a blood test to see if you are deficient in magnesium, folate, Vitamin D, etc... Often times our side effects are caused by vitamin deficiency.
