I was diagnosed with ADHD two years ago and I feel like I can't improve at work, anxiety is killing me because I can't make progress at all, I don't know how to force myself to do what I need to. I´m lost.

I can empathise with your situation. You get just stuck in adhd treacle don’t you? Have you tried medication? It definitely helps with initiating tasks and focus.

I am so very sorry you're going through this. The emotional weight of what you're experiencing is huge. What you described was me for years before finally being diagnosed and put on meds. I know that meds aren't for everyone, but for me personally they were utterly life-changing. I was an senior executive assistant to a CIO and CTO at the time, and I was dropping the ball on the daily. After probably 5 years of fighting what you're going through now, I genuinely thought it was early onset dementia of some sort. I was terrified, exhausted, and depressed as hell. I felt like a full-blown failure. Being put on meds allowed me to not only get started on those tasks that I would just stare at before, but they allowed me to maintain enough focus to complete them and complete them well. I started sobbing at the first follow-up appointment with psychiatrist (causing complete confusion) and finally choked out that I had gotten things accomplished for the first time in years, and OHMYGODS but it felt good. There is hope. Therapy, maybe coaching, and possibly meds - if you're not already on them - are all options you have to help change the way you're feeling right now.

Wishing you all the best and sending a virtual hug. My heart really goes out to you.

I totally get it! If you don’t already have one a therapist or psychiatrist who lists ADHD as a specialty is a game changer.
