Help !!

Hi I am an adult unofficially that has ADD/ADHD after reviewing a year or two conversatrions with my therapist, however she would not give me the legal test until i stop drinking for 90 days, which i seem to have a little issue with, however I am doing very good now, however still have some drinks. Well she retired, and I have a new therapist and a new phsychiatrist, however The Psychiatrist is more worried about my drinking than the depression, the medication or the ADD Test. Well after being frustrated I fired him and I my therapist with Kaiser is so backed up I can only to speak to her every two months. Please HELP and does anyone have any recommendations because I am thoroughly frustrated. I am requesting prescription for Ritalin , and i informed the Psychiatrist that I dont get addicted to pills as i have to force taking my anti- deps and anxiety medication, however he refused. If this doesn't work I dont know what else to do and I feel at a loss. Please any recommendations.

Combining alcohol and Ritalin can lead to not being able to concentrate and memory issues. The Ritalin would eventually do more harm than good. I used to drink a lot before I found out I had adhd. I actually tried to drink and take the adhd medication but it made me sick so it was a no brainer to give up alcohol. Wellbutrin is an anti depressant and it helps with adhd. It’s what I take because I can’t tolerate speed. Maybe try that if the won’t give you speed.

Thank you, i did not know this, and I have also recommended that the psychiatrist prescribe me anti-drinking medication that i had before Antibuse, which worked but he wouldnt, which i dont know why and is the reason why I am requesting a new psychiatrist. But thank you so much, that gave me a clearer insight.
