Hey there! My therapist recommended joining a support community, and I am truly so glad to be here. If anyone has some thoughts or suggestions, or just want to share your experiences - here’s a little background on what I’m looking for support on:
I am starting a portrait photography journey, in hopes of being my own boss and owning a business in the near future!
To help me get there, I need a bit of financial income to help support my husband (the primary income)
I shadowed at a local coffeehouse in town and had a blast, but it felt a little overwhelming. I think I’ll be able to do it, but honestly could use some support and tips for working in a high-paced, manual, lots of information and work output needed at a quick pace.
Where have you worked, knowing you had ADHD? Any current barista’s with advice or encouragement? I’m feeling nervous and don’t want to quit before I start, but am doubting myself, I think.
(For reference, I worked for a startup last year and previously have been a student all my life (undergrad in psychology and grad degree in education) - but am looking to pursue a job where I can do what I love, make my own hours and be my own boss! But as we all know, this will take a lot of work, time, and resources/money to make happen, so I need a flexible PT job in the meantime while I’m planning and building my wedding/portrait photography business!)
