If I am down some music makes me feel better and heard gradually raising a tempo can bring you up. On a down note- excuse the pun lol- if I am too ‘up’ I have to be careful. Many speeding tickets will attest to that. Better with silence. Hope this helps.

Yes your reply is great as noone has said that yet! I use classical music to soothe negative thoughts and i use it to drive to stop me feeling anxious. I use drum n bass to make me feel happy

What you are saying to do, is called a technique, called ‘opposite action’ from DBT therapy.

For an even balance of gentle high and low music i find classical music has both ups and downs and a calming effect when driving.

Dude I am a poet who loves to recite her poetry. When it comes to music I am a board certified groovy. Lol. Played a sax for 5 years, badly then moved on to twirling a rifle in a drum and bugle Corp.
