I work in hospital and every couple of years I get sent to the boss office .... and they are getting sick of my “ not focused “ at work... I did take An exam and I was diagnosed with adhd. I have taken stimulants and nothing works... I’m now on wellbutrion it’s now working ..... any suggestions I need help... I don’t want to get fired

You said the Wellbutrin is working, that’s good! So you got that going for you. You also have at least 2 years of experience where you work, that’s great! You probably know where youre doing good and where you’re struggling at work. I would find someone I could mentor their and have them help tech/show me what I need help with. The support and that’s being proactive in bettering you win win

A: if they fire you because of your ADHD, or refuse to give you accommodations, you can file a lawsuit against them for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA)

B: have you tried anything besides medication? Oftentimes some simple lifestyle changes can make a world of difference. Therapy is also an option, if you have access to it.

I imagine that working in a hospital is fast-paced and you have to keep up with several things at once. That is going to be hard for someone with ADHD. Have you thought of how you could compensate for those things that are hardest for you to master? They say "not focused" is pretty broad as far as a description of a problem. There might be a way to slow yourself down while you're on the floor. No one on this board wants to see you get fired you can be sure. The mentoring idea seems like a win/win. Hang in there.
