Hardys DEN

Just wondering if anyone has had experience using Hardy’s DEN? The cost and amount of tablets needed are a real barrier, but if it really makes a big difference we would look at it.

Has anyone tried these. I’d be grateful to hear about your experience, good, bad or indifferent.

My son has been using Hardy Nutritionals DEN for almost five years. He has not taken medication for almost as long. They worked for him. He experienced a lot of emotional dysregulation and has combined type ADHD. Medications were not effective, and the psychiatrist recommended them. You may want to look at True Hope. They are another brand of broad spectrum micronutrients, and the psychiatrist recommended them too. She did not recommend one brand over the other. Wishing you the best!

I ordered the sample packets of Hardy DEN for my 6 yr old to try. She didn't like them. What formula do you use and how'd you get your child to take it?

Well, he has never been a big fan but takes the capsules. He was already used to taking buffet supplements and ADHD meds. We called these his stinky pills. He liked to race to take them, and at school the nurse gave him a small treat from her jar. I’ve tried to be really honest with him about his body not processing nutrients like other people, and he needs them to stay healthy. He is about to turn 13 now, and he doesn’t like them but takes them. Over the years his need has actually decreased, and he now takes them twice per day instead of three times.

We tried them too. We tried the plain powder, the chocolate caramel powder, and the pills. I was able to see improvements in my son’s aggression and emotional dysregulation. However, he eventually refused to take them due to the smell/taste. I couldn’t blame him because they do smell gross—I know this because now I’ve been taking them for the last several months. One good thing about the micronutrients is that a therapeutic dose is 12 pills/day, but anyone can take them as a multivitamin at 4 pills/day. So my neurotypical kids and I have been taking 2/day in place of our cheaper multivitamins to use them up, because I don’t want to waste them 😂

I will also say the customer service at Hardy’s was truly wonderful.
