hi!
this is a weird question. But today I noticed that the generic guanfacine refill I picked up for the same Rx and same dose of previous refill looked different than what I got in last months bottle.
I realized that last month the 1mg Guanfacine ER pill has APO on 1 side and GUI1 on the other. This is same pill my son has been on for months.
So tonight I’m checking the new refill which we’ll need to start over weekend and the pill is completely different. Even looks larger but it says YH on 1 side and 116 in the other.
I did confirm thx to google that although this new refill is a thicker pill it is indeed 1MG guanfacine ER
But now I’m worried. Will my son have a different reaction if he takes same medication same dosage but from a different manufacturer!?!?
He’s been taking 2 of the 1mg pills in the morning (new change since last weekend) so to now have to tell him he will have 2 thicker pills to swallow is annoying
Will add pic for reference !
Top is the one he’s been on since spring. It’s 1MG. The bottom is the new refill which is also 1MG. I know it’s 2 different manufacturers but should I be worried !?!?
thx!!
