We like in the Seattle area and our 7year old is in public school. We were told he was keeping up with other kids, and then at the end of school were recommended for summer school. We are finding that the public school system doesn't have the resources for kids with adhd. Is there any schools out there that you would recommend for kids with adhd?

Thanks for your post. I am unsure if your child has an official 504 plan or IEP, most children with ADHD benefit from a formal written " road map" of what kind of help they need in school.
Also has the school done an assessment with your child to see what social emotional and academic needs he has? If not I would bring a letter to either the main office or the Special Education office saying your child needs help. This should include a letter from his doctor about his ADHD.
Many times service are brought into the school to help a child, services are not at each school. Or there may be a special school they would recommend your child attend.
Sometime teachers feel that a child would benefit from not having time off. If the child has time off they my not retain what they have learned and that is why they recommend summer school. Did they share why they feel he should attend summer school?
