Just wondering what everyone is doing for their kid besides seeing a child psychiatrist for medication management. How else are you supporting your brilliant adhd children? And what reasons/behaviors that lead you to seek other help beside child psychiatrist?

Hi there. For us, management of ADHD has been a 3 legged stool with the legs being medications, accommodations at school (for us, a 504 plan) and lifestyle modifications at home. The accommodations at school have been, by far, the most challenging piece for us (well, before switching school this year, that is). While all need to be modified from time to time as he ages or things which were effective previously become less effective, but this has been successful for us. Good luck to you.
