Adderall and Sports

My son says that when he plays sports after taking his Adderall that he doesn't feel like he does as well and feels like he isn't "in the game." Has anyone else had their kids say this? We give it to him before games to help but I am nervous we are actually making it worse.

Hello! We had this come up for our son too. It ended up that he did better OFF the medication when he played sports. Go figure. The doctor said that was fine.

Plus the psychological effect can't be denied. If he thinks it slows him down...
