Is it just me or do these behaviors drive you crazy?

The top 5 behaviors are:

1. Sucking fingers (all 5) when done eating..

2. Cracking knuckles or other bones

3. While drinking from a bottle... sucking the plastic in with a loud noise

4. Always listening to the TV way to loud..

5. Picking nose and snacking...

Sometimes I feel I am just over sensitive, but I only have 1 child and these things drive me crazy!

Anyone else? What else drives you crazy?

My son is 8 years old combined type.

Here is my son's top 5 behaviours that makes me feel crazy!!

1. Making noises (shooting noise or air plane noise??? I'm not sure how to describe it.)

2. Sucking his thumb

3. Sneaking to kitchen covers for treats

4. Very slow in the morning routines (just sits or jumping on the couch)

5. Can't or won't walk side by side with me on the side walk

6. Smelling his hand after wiping himself!! Yuck!!

Just wanted to add the #6..... It's crazy!!

My son also picks his nose and eat it!!

It's been very stressful!! Lots of yelling in the morning..... Sigh.....

Since no one responded, I thought it was just my child.. glad we both share in grossness!

Thanks for adding your list, maybe it will revolve to my list by the time he is 13 years old like mine..

So I am not crazy, sometimes I just want to run away!

*Very slow in the morning routines (just sits or jumping on the couch)*

We struggle so much with this one, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter cannot seem to grasp the concept of HURRYING, and what that means. I have to set timers for every single task in the morning and still practically stand next right to her and coax her on to keep doing it. Like, who has to be reminded to keep eating??? If I didn't remind her to keep eating, one egg would take her 45 minutes to eat! Hoping it gets better at some point! LOL

Yes! Both of my kids are soooooo slow for any morning routine. Drives me CRAZY! (Granted, the youngest is only 3.) And if I have an incentive to finish quickly, then they try to just not eat at all to get to it.

My son (7 with ADHD) also seems to constantly make noise - even dinner seems to require sound effects. Medication helps, but it’s it’s wear off sometime.

And then there’s his tics, though I seem to be a bit more tolerant of those.

The prompting to eat kills me. I feel like it’s a full time job!

We started using visual schedules for the before school, after school and evening routines. It seems to be helping a little.

Good luck!!

I'm sure I can come up with more than 5, but here goes:

(1) Spitting at Mommy/Daddy/caregiver/teacher when mad

(2) Finding any and every way to stall during the night-time routine.

(3) Also turning the TV or tablet volume up too loud.

(4) Insisting on a short sleeve shirt and no jacket when it's cold outside.

(5) Inverting himself on the couch, stairs, bed, etc., sometimes kicking the wall.

(Relative to #2, I've been known to joke I should rename our son Isadore Marcus Stalling - I.M. Stalling for short!)

(That or Max Volume...)

LOL ah yes.

The sucking fingers and bottle noises are two of the worst! 😂 Also, licking of fingers, compulsive nose thing I can't correctly describe, odd throat clearing that doesn't even sound like throat clearing (??), and super slow drawn out cereal slurping. That one really gets me.
