I’ve been researching this as my son has this mutation and there appears to be a correlation with ADHD and other conditions such as anxiety. Wondering how others are supplementing and if you have seen any positive results? Thanks in advance.

Anyone familiar with MTHFR gene mutation and methylfolate supplementation for ADHD?
We recently learned that our DS also has this mutation. We now supplement with Emerald Laboratories B Healthy. It contains a good mix of L5 methylfolate and the balanced amount of B vitamins. I can't tell a huge difference in behavior, though I have also read that for some kids it really helps.
We did testing and that is an issue for my son who is ADHD and has symptoms of anxiety and depression. Our psychiatrist recommended broad spectrum micronutrients. I highly encourage you to look into them. There are two companies, Hardy Nutritionals and True Hope. I believe true Hope has one specifically designed for the MTHFR. Definitely include your psychiatrist if your child is on medications. Significant improvement for my son with anxiety, depression, aggressions, and emotional regulation. He has been on them since February and we saw the big change at the half dose mark which occurred in March. Best of luck to you!
Yes. There are higher incidences of ADHD with people with MTHFR.

My son has been on Accentrate for well over a year and has been doing great. Still totally ADHD, but he can self regulate. A simply reminder and he can focus and do the task at hand.
