I’ve been on vyvanse for about a month and a couple weeks, I’ve noticed weight loss and my doctor said just to eat a lot of calories and high protein snacks at night or during the day, I can’t eat full meals cause I’m not hungry does anyone have the best food and snacks I can take to school without spending so much money?

Eating on vyvanse
My son also has a bit of appetite loss during the day, so I’m a little less picky with what I give him for lunch - if he’ll eat it, I’ll give it to him. So, his lunch can be chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, taquitos, Greek yogurt, fruit squeezes, pretzels, mini muffins, cheese crackers or graham crackers. I also try to push a healthy & filling breakfast w/ protein before the meds kick in.
If none of those work, you might just try things that are known to be easy on the stomach until your appetite starts returning in the afternoon. Having had some pretty severe morning sickness, the only things I could really keep down was the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce & toast. I haven’t seen this studied with ADHD, but B Vitamins really helped during this time as well as recommended by my pharmacist when paired with a sleep aid. It that I’m recommending you add sleep medication!
My sons appetite starts picking up after school - so that’s usually when I start pushing hearty & healthy options. I have him finish his lunch, maybe make a smoothie or have a bit of dairy (yogurt, cheese, milk), start becoming a fruit pusher. I figure I’d rather him develop an afternoon binge eating habit than a right before bed binge eating habit.
Hopefully some of this can be helpful for you!
I do have a sleeping med, but all the things you have listed are pretty great but sadly none of those will work, I have a small 30 minute lunch with the younger grades (6-8) and they take up the microwaves and I’ve tried a lot of snacks
Cheese sticks r my stable, and macadamia nuts.
My son had the same problem. I started feeding him a milkshake in the morning, often with either full fat milk or half n half and sometimes with added protein powder. Good luck.
Try boiled eggs, chunks of cheese and salami with crackers, home made trail mix (popcorn, nuts, dried fruit, pretzels, dark chocolate), protein fruit smoothies in a thermos, peanut butter, cold fried chicken & rolls. An ice pack can be used to keep things cold.
