Thanks for sharing.

Does his teacher mark this every single day? I've thought about this kind of chart system, but I was told that teacher won't have time to do this everyday.

Does your son have an assistant teacher? Does he get a reward if he pass his score? or he is motivated just enough without reward?

He's motivated without the reward because actually the reward is on the paper seeing the awesome scores. Show this to his teacher. She might of thought it was a long form or something. My son is in 6th grade he has 5 teachers and they just circle. She can do morning lunch and circle at the end of the day. It's a small sacrifice she can take to have a healthy learning environment for herself and the rest of the class. I think that's hogwash for her not to have time to fill out a simple form for your child. Good luck

Thanks. We had an IEP meeting 3 weeks ago. We'll talk about charting/token system with the teacher next IEP meeting if it might be beneficial.

My son’s class has those, and they really help show where he’s having trouble. He’s in 1st grade so it’s broken down into sections based on what they’re doing (like social skills, reading, etc.). If he gets a certain number of points he gets to pick something from the treasure box, so he gets a reward immediately instead of waiting until Friday.

As a parent of a child with ADHD and teacher, these kinds of charts are very helpful and allows each student to see for themselves how they are doing and can be a motivator.
