Reaction to appetite stimulant?

My 10 year old ADHD son has a massive tantrum tonight after being told he couldn't stay up and watch TV. (Screaming, running around the house slamming doors throwing things, some of them at me.) Besides his regular meds (Generic concerta), I gave him his appetite stimulant (Cyproheptadine 4mg) this afternoon. (I don't give it to him every day). He had a similar tantrum a few days ago, and I seem to remember I gave it to him that day as well. I was wondering if other parents noticed a similar reaction, or if it was just a coincidence.

We noticed that our son was having angry outbursts so we talked to the doctor about it and she lowered dose. So far it's helped.

Lowered dose of what?

What dose is he taking, and does it help his appetite?

We get more of those rages due to low blood sugar because our son hasn’t eaten. I can’t say the Cyproheptadine works that well for the appetite. Is anger a possible side effect?

Yeah, I haven't noticed much a difference in his appetite when he takes it, versus when he doesn't.
