My 13 year-old grandson has started on that recently. He's on a low dose to help with his ADHD. But every child reacts differently. I've had medications for my other grandson they were supposed to help with ADHD and actually made him more manic.
I tried it with my 8 year old it did not work he got switched to vyanze its been doing really good
