My son suffered from allergy induced asthma from the time he was 2 until he turned 9. He was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 7 but we always knew he had it, they jut would not do anything about it until he was older. The thing that helped him wih the allergies the most was changing his diet. We got rid of dyes, processed foods, meat and DAIRY. It has made the world of difference!!!! It has helped with his ADHD as well but he has such a severe case of it fhat I think he will always need meds. After all it is a neurological condition, diel helps a lot but I do not believe it will ever go away.
My grandson had terrible skin issues until we got his anxiety under control. They amazingly went away. He used to scratch until he bled, starting as a toddler.
Interesting! When my son was an infant he had eczema and we were told by our doctor that there was a link between eczema, allergies and asthma, that they were on the same gene sequence or something and if a child had one they were more likely to have the other 2 as well. Now at 7, our son has outgrown his eczema and has never had allergies (that we know of) or asthma, but we're pretty sure he has ADHD (working on getting evaluated). If those are all connected in some way that's a pretty complicated series of issues to be treated.
