All stimulants can have an effect on sleep. This is something you would need to speak to the doctor about and if your doctor does not specialize in adhd and dosing adhd meds you may want to find one that does. Adderall is a once daily long acting medicine - however when it wears off some kids may need a boost to get them through homework time. Giving a second dose later in the day of a long acting medicine will likely effect bedtime. If your child does require something after the adderall has worn off maybe you can ask your doctor about a shorter acting stimulant for the afternoon dose. Maybe that would help ??? Good luck
