Thank you so much. For your replied

You should call a psychologist office in your area. They can schedule an appointment with you to have her tested.

I’ve had friends whose children have been diagnosed by their pediatrician, others have gone to a child psychologist or even a neuroscience center ( which was the case for my son). I’d definitely start with your pediatrician who can walk you through your options. He or she will be the one writing the monthly prescriptions if you decide to medicate.

Good luck!

I have a question if the child is taken to a pediatrician how do they text the child is it alone or with the parents there present? My step daughter doesn’t want her mom to be there and she wants to be there so I’m wondering if they do test the children alone or what could you please help me here... my step daughter is 11 will be 12 December 19 but loves being with me and her daddy... unfortunately she doesn’t like being with her mom because her mom makes her feel like a slave when she’s with her and she yells at her and wants to make her go to a DLI school program which for many of you might not know what it is is a dual language program Spanish/ English... my step daughter has been struggling with the language because no one else except for me speaks in Spanish to her... so my poor baby she’s angry and is dealing with this ADHD too... she’s also having mayor issues getting alone and keeping friends at school because she’s always depressed or too sencitive... please give me some advices thanks

I brought my child to a Child Psychiatrist at a child study center. He receives therapy as well as medication. I was asked first to fill out a questioner as well as his teachers at school filling one out. Her mother will most likely have to be involved . Educate your self as well. There are so many great books and websites to help you . I found “Smart but Scattered helpful and ADHD is not a four letter word/ The Gift of ADHD to be very helpful. Good luck!

A psychiatrist is always best but your pediatrician can usually get you started if things aren't too severe. You can also bring in a sheet to your child's teacher to rate class behavior. Sometimes the teachers have those sheets. It helps the doctor know what's going on

Thank you so much anirush I will addressed this to my husband and make sure that we let her pediatrician know and also her school too... she is going to start seeing a phycologist at school because her mom is mentally and physically abusing her and she hates her mom she doesn’t want to live with her anymore... my husband and I are seeing how we can have her move with us permanently or have more hours with her...

but is so sad her mom is a Phycopath socialpath too...

Thank you so much

Hi, my daughter Is 5 and has severe ADHD I had her evaluated by a Nuero psychologist. However, when I took her here Sunny Hills Behavioral Health, in Fullerton, CA the

Psychiatrist, said there was no need for that evaluation. She mentioned the evaluation could of been done in the first session instead of going through a series of sessions. She was amazing and evaluated her in 20 minutes. if you need for information let me know.
