Hi ladies. I’ve been really ill with my endo and adenomyosis and have run out of treatment options. I’m at the point of wanting a hysterectomy but wanted to ask those of you who have had one for advice.
I’m currently under Mr Christian Barnick at the Homerton but I’ve also been referred to Professor Janice Rymer at Guy’s for a second opinion.
Does anyone have any personal experience of either of these consultants?
Thanks in advance xxx

I know your post is 2 years ago and I'm sorry to see that no-one replied to you.
I wonder if you could let me know how you are and what treatment you went for and how it all went? I hope you are doing well now and are much improved?
I have endometriosis and adenomyosis and a Consultant suggested I might be heading towards a hysterectomy but I am worried about making things worse digestive-system-wise.
I am 42, sex hurts too much to bear most of the time, I'm crazy constipated (on medication every day to help me go) and have a lot of back pain and a tender, swollen belly. Also, my bladder is squished so I have run to the loo often. I've had two ops so far to remove endo and am on my 2nd coil but they only zapped the tissue, they haven't excised it which is the next step.
I'm trying to weigh up the pros and cons of a hysterectomy and HRT so if you would share your experience I'd be very grateful.
